It's a 4 for one reason and one reason alone;: Please add vanilla to your non-dairy offerings. Then we can load on toppings. The non-dairy mango is good but limited on what you can put on it. Penguins is 90s old school. I'm glad this location exists. The guy who helped us (maybe the owner) was welcoming and provided good customer services. The prices aren't crazy. About $14 for 2 kids scooos with a topping each and a small. Relatively speaking, that's reasonable. As an LA native, growing up with the Penguins name, Penguins is special. Now, please note there is absolutely no seating inside or out. That part either makes you just grab and go or stand around in the parking lot eating Final Word: We'll go back. We want to keep this location open.
I used to frequent this business SO many times and order their frozen yogurt but when I went in this time, I ordered their ice cream. I ordered my usual which was creamy and heavy. I miss the frozen yogurt choices being more selection so now I tend to order ice cream especially during these hot summer weather days in LA. The location here is a bit hard to get to so I prefer the Westwood location. Also, the parking here is madness.
Penguin's always has a great selection & decent portions - a reliable go-to! Open later than other local fro yo spots too!

Frozen yogurt was really good. Cookies & Cream Yogurt was no sugar and still delicious. I topped it with strawberries and fruity pebbles 10/10 Partner got the C&C & Premium Tart 50/50 topped w/ the same + crushed pineapple 10/10. Both for about $15. The lady was very kind. Highly recommend for a sweet treat
Love the simplicity of this place. They are pretty darn meticulous with their machines and toppings, in the best of ways. The pendulum has swung back, I prefer my FoYo prepared by professionals and not charged by "weight". Same family members in there everyday. I walk in and they start making my order with a smile. This whole strip mall has been holding it down despite an onslaught of "bad behavior" in the area. Easily best FroYo in Venice (tech MDR).
Such a cute lil' mom/pop when you need a frozen treat (ice cream or frozen yogurt). Unpretentious with a pretty decent selection, a parking lot, and when I went a low carb/keto friend option (peanut butter fro-yo). Lottery tickets are also sold here...then you can have a cone to celebrate or console.
Very clean. Great selection of frozen yogurt. We tried cake batter, peach & Oreo. All tasted fresh and delicious. Also a huge selection of toppings. Service was ok.
